No. maia works inside the WhatsApp you already use. There is also a web dashboard to review and adjust settings, but you never need to download anything.

The Duo plan costs 9.99 USD on the same date every month and covers 1 or 2 members. Each additional member (kids, grandparents or household staff) costs 4.99 USD on the same date every month.

Yes. New families get a free trial that ends with whichever comes first: 5 days or 30 messages. We don't ask for a payment method to start. When it ends, maia sends you a payment link, and your subscription only starts when you pay.

Write "cancel subscription" to maia on WhatsApp, or email [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access until then and won't be charged again.

The family calendar, lists and shared reminders are seen by the members who have access to them. Money is seen only by the members the account owner gave financial access to. Each person's conversation with maia belongs to that person.

Never. We don't sell your data, we don't share it for advertising and we don't use your family's conversations to train AI models. You can see, download or delete your data by writing to [email protected].

Connecting a bank is optional and goes through Plaid. You give your credentials to Plaid or your bank, never to maia. The connection is read-only: maia can show balances and transactions, but it can never move your money.

Yes, with the approval of the account owner. Children's information has extra protection and is only collected with the consent of their parent or guardian. We recommend not giving kids financial access.

It's an optional feature to keep a loved one's recordings, like a grandparent's stories or advice, so the family can hear them again. It's only done with that person's consent, and they can withdraw it whenever they want.

No. maia is an AI assistant, not a person and not an emergency service. If someone is in danger, call 911.
